Infertility: I Can't Have A Baby, Don't Say It!
Did you ever notice that somehow people seem to live up to their "labels"? I recall back when I was in elementary school, the kids that were labeled "difficult" or "troublemakers" seemed to live up to their reputations. It's almost like they couldn't break free from it.See also: www.getpregnantover40.com for trying to conceive with vision boards
So what does this have to do with getting pregnant? Well...if you're having trouble conceiving, labeling yourself "infertile" may actually make you infertile. Who knows how our brains latch on to things...I know, for me, whenever I know I can do something, I do it. When I think or "know" I can't do something, I can't.
Years ago, when I was engaged to be married, people asked me if we were going to have kids, and I would laugh and say "oh I'm probably infertile....haha". I wonder how much that was a self fufilling prophecy? I never wanted kids when I was younger. As a matter of fact, when I went to my 20 year high school reunion, people would say to me, "you always said you didn't want kids, and here you are, 20 years later, you were true to your word". Little did they know that I was trying to get pregnant at the time. I didn't share that with anyone because it was so out of character for me to want kids!
The moral of the story is, if you've been trying to get pregnant for a while (perhaps a year or longer) try labeling yourself "a future mom". It may change what you manifest in your life.
Here is an article about the power of our words and their connection to what we bring into our life:
Another very important aspect of conscious language is the LAW OF FOCUS. What ever we place our attention on is what we create. It's important to focus on the positive thing we desire rather than the negative thing we want to avoid. For example, never focus on NOT AGING. Focusing on not aging ensures that you will age and quickly. Instead focus on being healthy, vibrant, and youthful.
